Why Learn How To Record Music?

Music production is a valuable skill to learn, especially for musicians and content creators. Through the skills you learn in music production class at Boom! Academy of Music, you will learn how to record your own music while achieving the best possible sound that you can. Students who complete music production classes usually go on and become content creators on YouTube and create their own music so that they can record themselves. There are lots of opportunities to create content and even generate some income while doing so.

Do I Have to Know How to Play an Instrument in Order to Take Classes?

While we recommend learning how to play an instrument before taking music production classes, it is not a requirement. The reason why we recommend playing an instrument before taking music production classes is that we think it’s important for students to have direct access to recording sources (as in recording others or themselves). This is so that you can continue to practice applying the skills and techniques of music production and hone your production skill set.
