Hi, my name is Francesco, and I am the managing director at Boom! Academy of Music.
I am a professional musician with a bachelor’s degree in music education from Brooklyn College-Conservatory of Music. I have been teaching private piano lessons for about 7 years and have been teaching group lessons for a little longer.
I am currently a music teacher in the New York City public school system teaching elementary school from Pre-K to 5th Grade (ages 4-10). I also have experience teaching students above this age group, having worked with middle school as well as having taught piano lessons to older students.
Teaching is one of my biggest passions along with playing music. My goal is to share my passion for music with you! In taking lessons with me, you will learn how to read music, how to play with proper piano technique, music theory, exercises, and play exciting new songs. With my experience in teaching music, we will learn from the best method books out that will ensure that we learn at a steady pace. I will also tailor my lessons to your playing level, not holding you back on a song but continuing so that we can get the maximum done in every lesson without falling behind. Quality instruction is very important to me and I will make sure that your lesson will be easy to understand, sequential, and fun!
I have been playing piano for over 23 years and have performed at many different places around the city. I have also learned from many great teachers all around the city and each has contributed to my skill in playing the piano. The styles of music that I specialize in are Classical, Pop, and Rock. I have a lot of experience in these styles of music. I am completely immersed in the music world having touched upon every aspect of the business (recording, teaching, composing, songwriting). 🎶
