| Hi, I’m Francesco, and I’m the managing director of Boom! Music Center.
As a professional musician with a bachelor’s degree in music education from the Brooklyn College-Conservatory of Music, I’ve dedicated the past 7 years to teaching private piano lessons, along with additional experience in group instruction. I’m also a music teacher in the New York City public school system, where I work with elementary school students from Pre-K through 5th grade (ages 4-10). In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to teach older students, including those in middle school and adult learners. Teaching music is one of my greatest passions, and I’m thrilled to share this love with my students. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, my lessons focus on building solid music fundamentals—learning to read music, playing with proper technique, understanding music theory, and exploring exciting new songs. I use the best method books available to guide our learning at a steady, consistent pace, and I adapt my approach to meet your individual skill level. I believe in challenging my students to progress without feeling rushed or held back, ensuring every lesson is enjoyable, clear, and productive. I’ve been playing piano for over 23 years, performing at various venues across the city, and continuously learning from talented teachers along the way. I specialize in Classical, Pop, and Rock music and have extensive experience in these genres. Beyond teaching, I am fully immersed in the music world, having worked in recording, composing, songwriting, and more. With commitment and practice, you’ll be playing your favorite songs in no time. How it all started…
The story of Boom! Music Center began with a simple but powerful idea: to make music education accessible, inspiring, and engaging for students of all ages. As a professional musician with a deep passion for teaching, I always knew that sharing the joy of music was my true calling. But it wasn’t until I started working with students in a variety of settings—private lessons, group classes, and as a teacher in New York City’s public schools—that I realized how transformative music education could be. I saw firsthand how the power of music could unlock creativity, build confidence, and bring joy to people’s lives.
After years of teaching, I recognized a gap in the way music was being taught. Many schools and programs were either too traditional or not personalized enough to truly connect with students at all levels. That’s when I decided to create something different. A place where lessons weren’t just about memorizing notes but about creating an experience—an experience where students felt empowered to explore their own musical path, at their own pace.
And so, Boom! Music Center was born. I wanted to create a space that blended the best aspects of classical training with the excitement of modern music. At our center, we focus on quality, individualized instruction that makes learning both fun and effective. The name “Boom!” symbolizes the energy and enthusiasm that music brings into our lives—it’s the moment when everything clicks, and a new passion is ignited. That’s the feeling we aim to create in every lesson.
